The room was silent save from the slight whir of the slide projector and Trevelyan’s heavy breathing. He leaned forward in his chair and studied the first image that I’d projected onto the wall. Below the photo there was a caption and some text.

“What is this I’m looking at, Cornwall?”

“Photographs that are being passed around the Club,” I said.

Trevelyan examined the image for a moment.

This image was taken at Nimbu Towers in the guests’ quarters, the day before the wedding. It’s worth noting that this is not a traditional bridal shower in any way, shape, or form.
